This fall we were fortunate enough to not only add two new interns to the PRIME family, but also continue working with one of our fabulous interns from this summer! Since these three lovely ladies are such an important asset to our team, we think it’s important to formally introduce them. Read on to learn a thing or two about Courtney, Chloe, and Rosie!
Courtney is one of our newest marketing and communications interns at The PRIME Factory this fall. She is a senior at Virginia Tech studying marketing management and real estate. In the past, Courtney has held multiple marketing internship positions and is thrilled to continue expanding her marketing and PR industry knowledge this semester. Although she isn’t quite ready to leave Blacksburg, she is also eager to enter the “real world” and begin her career in the marketing field. When Courtney’s not hard at work in the office or in class, you can usually find her at the barn riding horses. Courtney grew up in a small town in southeast Virginia where she lived on a farm and had almost every pet you can imagine including, of course, horses. She began competing in equestrian competitions at the national level when she was in middle school. Ever since, there isn’t much that can keep her out of the saddle!
Chloe Gilfoil is a senior finishing her last semester at Virginia Tech where she is pursuing a degree in public relations and international relations. After finishing up school in December, she will be traveling to Salamanca, Spain to live at the university there for four months. There she will work on improving her ability to fluently speak Spanish! Chloe has always dreamt of being fluent in a second language and is elated to have the opportunity to learn and be fully immersed in the language and culture.Throughout her time at VT, she has been a member of “Sensations,” an all-female a cappella group. She is saddened that her last concert with the ladies will be at the end of November, but she is so happy that she was able to be involved in music and singing all throughout college! Chloe changed her major three different times before eventually coming to the realization that she wanted to work in the PR field. Since this past May, Chloe has worked as PRIME’s public relations and visual communications intern. She is the graphic design guru in the office and often spearheads design-related projects at The PRIME Factory.
Rosie Hutchison is a sophomore studying public relations at Virginia Tech. Hired at the start of VT’s 2018 fall semester, she collaborates with fellow interns and the rest of the PRIME team to craft content for clients’ blog posts and social media, build relationships with the press, and conduct research about market trends. With a passion for the written word, Rosie particularly enjoys writing her own content as well as editing the work of other members of the team. With aspirations of someday working for a major news outlet, she welcomes any opportunity to write and gain experience for her future in the professional world.Rosie enjoys taking long naps, eating pasta and watching Netflix documentaries. Her current favorite is Making a Murderer, a popular Netflix original series. For 13 years, Rosie competed across the globe as an Irish dancer. While no longer competing, she continues to dance regularly and will always consider herself a part of the Irish dancing community. Rosie is also heavily involved in the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) at Virginia Tech. As a dedicated member of PRSSA, she writes articles for the organization’s publication about topical PR trends and news. She feels incredibly lucky to be given the opportunity to work at PRIME with such a talented group of people and to contribute to the success of businesses in and around the Blacksburg area.
